I'm so excited! I finished the "Kirsten" kit by Stephanie Sullivan.

I don't have a name for him yet..

I feel like we have a baby in the house again! (I know.. weird!) This one doesn't cry, or have to be changed! XD

On to the doll!

The top picture shows the doll before I put any paint on it.

I used Genesis Heat Set Paints (the pre-mixed ones from the artist, Stephanie Sullivan)

It took me 9 hours to paint this whole doll.

The body is fabric and held on with zip ties. (The body came with the kit)

The rest of the pictures show the baby in daylight.

He is approximately 15" long. The size of a 26 week (gestation) preemie.

He weighs 2lbs 7.2oz

His birthday is February 2nd 2013. :heart:

Your the first one on dA i see with one of these. Are you keeping it or is this a comish? You did a great job though realistic human dolls creep me out and we already have had weird things happen without having any. XD Is the b-day when you got him or when you finished the painting and all?

I need to do a touch up on "Sam". That's what I've named the doll since completing the kit. The b-day, is when the doll was complete. So when after the painting, and then weight added, and body attached.

I'm thinking it would be best if I let Sam go. When I've completed his touch ups I'm going to put him up for adoption.

I haven't done any custom orders yet. I've only painted one doll, unless someone out there felt comfortable enough with me painting one for them. :)

That's beautiful! He does look like he has slightly to much dark paint on his forehead though.. sort of looks like he's hit his head on something. It might just be the light though. =)
