Good morning everyone!
I can't help myself but try new things when I get that push to do so. It's like that "kicking myself" feeling. XD
I happened upon a BJD site. I can't remember why I was looking..? I purchased 2 dolls. I have never seen one in person other than my daughter's Barbies and Monster High dolls. I've watched her paint Barbies to look like her MH dolls. I may paint a doll for her, but I wouldn't let her near one with a paint brush!
I ordered 2 dolls from the Junky Spot. I'm not ready to spend $100+ on a doll. >.<
The doll I purchased is a Obitsu, 27cm. I bought parts, so a body and a head. (Soft body, medium chest 27cm fleshtone, and the head is Kay fleshtone)
The other is a Nano-Freya in white.
I'm sorry, I'm completely new to the BJD world.. So if I say something wrong, don't be too harsh on me..
I have been looking at many faceup tutorials, I'm not one that wears makeup, but it looks easy enough. I have pastels already from my polymer clay days. I have acrylic paints that I use on vinyl dolls, and I have sealer too. This should be fun!
I have some faux fur left in my collection so I can make wigs. I may sell some in my Etsy shop too! I'll get to making wigs soon!
I have some patterns that I found for clothing, but I'm worried since they are so teensy, and I'd have to hand sew it all. I may be able to push it through the sewing machine, I'll give it a try.
I am working on a commission. (Don't start messaging me.. please) I haven't opened commissions. I think about plushies every now and then, and I will take a commission if it sparks my interest. I have made one prototype, there will be 2, but the second goes to the person who commissioned it.
Also, I'm still painting reborn dolls. I have 3 painted currently, 2 are being rooted with hair, and 1 I haven't started yet.
I'll post more updates soon!
